About DD
My passion for becoming a relational therapist began with my love for the LGBTQ+ community. Supporting diverse individuals and partnerships taught me early on that systemic issues shape our experiences, and no single therapy approach fits every relationship. I’ve trained in multiple relational modalities to meet each client’s unique needs, and I often use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to explore both relationship dynamics and individual internal conflicts. We all carry wounded parts that surface in times of relational stress. After more than five years specializing in work with sexually and gender-diverse clients, I’ve found this experience has strengthened my work with all individuals and couples—because no one fits neatly into a box.
My own challenges led me to therapy, where I discovered the value of being supported rather than directed. I aim to offer that same space for you—to help you clarify your values, passions, and vision. When you understand who you are and what you want, you can show up more authentically and responsibly in your life and relationships.
I value comprehensive, collaborative care. While I’m not a psychiatrist, I provide diagnostic evaluations and coordinate with other providers to support your overall health. My late ADHD diagnosis inspired me to become a Certified ADHD Clinical Services Provider, giving me both the clinical tools and lived perspective to support others navigating ADHD.
I’ve also worked with children for much of my life and bring a strong foundation in child development to my work. This helps me connect meaningfully with teens and support parents through the complexities of each developmental stage, informed by Erickson’s developmental theory and structural therapy models.
Above all, I strive to empower clients to feel confident in themselves and their relationships. I believe deeply in love and in helping people reconnect—with each other and with themselves. It’s an honor to do this work, and I look forward to meeting you.
