About This Opportunity

Rocky Mountain Thrive has clinical internship opportunities for students in Master's programs working towards graduating with an MS or MA in Marriage/Couple and Family Therapy or Mental Health Counseling, preferably from COAMFTE or CACREP accredited programs.

We are a growing group practice out of Denver, Colorado serving clients all over Colorado, committed to providing excellent care for clients and clinicians.

Position Requirements

Education & Credentials

  • Pursuing a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from a COAMFTE accredited school
  • OR pursuing a Mental Health Counseling Master's Degree from a CACREP accredited school
  • OR pursuing a Social Work Master's Degree from an accredited school
  • Residing in Colorado

Technical Requirements

  • Private and confidential room to conduct telehealth sessions
  • Computer with camera for telehealth sessions
  • Reliable and fast internet connection
  • Cell phone with ability to install Simple Practice and Spruce Health applications
  • Technology savvy and comfortable using computers

Skills & Attributes

  • Independently motivated and self-driven
  • Clear communicator
  • Solution-oriented approach
  • Willing to attend monthly team meetings
  • Ability to work with individuals and/or couples (depending on internship requirements)

Hours Requirements

  • 10 clients a week with 15 hours of availability on your calendar
  • At least 8 hours between 3pm-9pm Monday-Thursday or 3pm-5pm Fridays
  • First 3 months are a slow ramp up to the 10 hours requirement

Clinical Supervision

We provide comprehensive supervision through our Clinical Supervisors. You'll have the opportunity to interview available supervisors to find the best fit for your learning style and professional development.

Weekly Individual Supervision

One-on-one supervision with your assigned supervisor to meet your program requirements

Peer Consultation

Regular group supervision and peer support to enhance your clinical skills

Group Supervision

Opportunities to join group supervision with other interns and associate clinicians at our practice.

Client Population

Based on your internship requirements and interests, you may work with teens, adults, and couples.

Teens & Adolescents

Individual therapy for young people

Adults

Individual therapy across various presenting issues

Couples

Relationship therapy for couples seeking support

Post-Graduation Opportunities

Want to stay with us? Many of our interns choose to continue as associates after graduation.

Upon graduation, many of our interns transition into associate positions with Rocky Mountain Thrive. We offer competitive compensation and continued support as you work towards full licensure. You will be able to apply for an associate position towards the end of your internship program.
